University wins e-marketing award
The University of Hawaii (UH) has been named the recipient of the 2007 "Best E-Marketing Award" by the American Marketing Association Hawaii Chapter for its Internet marketing initiatives, says Hawaii Athletics.
The winning initiatives include its e-newsletter (H-Mail), Web site (HawaiiAthletics.com), and digital online ticket system.
UH was also nominated for "Marketer of the Year" and finished second in that category.
E-billing for Aus
Normally sent by traditional post at both a huge financial and environmental cost, Profile Marketing has developed a platform called eLetterbox which is being targeted at companies that rely on so-called "essential" paper mail, states IDM.
In Australia alone, 50 million pieces of mail are routinely prepared and distribution a year at a cost of between $50 million and $150 million.
Profile says eLetterbox is designed to be secure, trustworthy and reliable. It apparently 'mirrors' the existing physical mail process in the virtual world. Profile says eLetterbox is expected to be available to banks, energy utilities and many more firms by the end of 2008.
E-billing for SMEs
BizzEnergy, the UK's leading independent energy supplier, has introduced a new billing system which will make electronic billing a reality for smaller businesses, says PR Leap.
The move, believed to be the first in the industry, will see the introduction of the XML system which allows organisations to receive bills electronically and therefore eliminates the need for manually processed paper invoices.
The new software system, which was developed and installed by Team, a UK supplier of energy management solutions, will enable organisations to easily access their billing data and translate it into different formats.
