Utilizer chooses Drupal
Ulitzer has identified Drupal Content Management Platform as its platform of choice, reports Web 2.0 Journal.
Ulitzer.com, which will be launched in 2008, with 5 500 authors and more than 550 000 original articles, is looking for Drupal developers.
Ulitzer claims that by 2010, three out of 10 books on any subject will be published at Ulitzer.com, and Time Magazine, The New York Times, Scientific American, and the rest of today`s magazines and journals will be replaced by Ulitzer in the next five years.
Alfresco does Web 2.0
Alfresco Software has turned its Web-based enterprise content management platform into a haven for social computing tools, according to eWeek.
The Alfresco Social Computing Platform provides a Web 2.0 collaboration platform, including knowledge spaces, calendars, discussions, wikis, presence (from Skype and Yahoo) and social tagging.
Drilling down into the Web 2.0 mantle, the platform integrates with Facebook, iGoogle customisable homepage, MediaWiki applications, WordPress blog publishing software, TypePad blogging service, RSS Readers and e-mail.
eZ gets easier
eZ Systems has released eZ Publish 4.0, the latest version of its flagship enterprise content management product, according to PR-Inside.
eZ Publish 4.0 features complete PHP 5-compatability, thereby empowering users with PHP 5`s entire range of functionality, while maintaining a smooth upgrade path for existing eZ Publish Web sites.
The product has a flexible content engine that serves as the core for dynamic and customisable Web sites, including Web 2.0 sites.
