Global enterprise cloud provider Virtustream has selected BCX as its first partner in Africa to provide cloud technology and services to the South African market.
According to Virtustream, a Dell Technologies business, BCX will implement Virtustream xStream and Virtustream Viewtrust software to orchestrate, automate and secure the digital solutions provider's cloud offerings.
Virtustream xStream is an integrated cloud management platform that enables service providers such as BCX to deliver IT-as-a-service to their customers. BCX's cloud capabilities will be further strengthened with Virtustream Viewtrust enterprise risk management and compliance monitoring solution.

BCX, a fully-owned Telkom Group subsidiary, serves Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed enterprises, public sector organisations, state-owned entities and medium-sized businesses in Africa, Dubai and the UK.
In February, Telkom Business Connexion was relaunched as BCX, after the IT services company, Business Connexion, was bought out by Telkom in 2015.
Virtustream says its cloud capabilities will be deployed in two BCX data centres, one in Johannesburg and the other in Cape Town. The platform is expected to go into service in July.
