VMIX expands channel programme

Video SaaS vendor VMIX, an online video solution supporting VAR efforts to provide customers with fully functional video components on corporate Web sites, has expanded its channel programme, reports Business Solutions Magazine.

Mike Glickenhaus, president and CEO of VMIX, recently announced an expanded VMIX channel programme geared toward VARs working with enterprise clients.

“Because of the state of the economy, are looking to add solutions that are in demand, and affordable,” says Glickenhaus. “Online video, projected to become a $15 billion market, is one of those solutions.”

Channel sends Xact message

Specialist channel marketing firm Xact Marketing has seen business double over the past 12 months as more resellers realise the importance of getting the right message out to customers, writes CRN-UK.

The company works by offering a combination of telemarketing activities to generate new leads and marketing consultancy to help channel players portray the right image to their customers.

Joint MD Geoff Undrell said as vendors get savvier about how to dish out marketing collateral, resellers need to work in a smarter way to secure funding.

Magirus, EMC offer channel credit

Value-added distributor Magirus is teaming with EMC to help free up credit for its resellers to offer their customers, says Channel Pro.

Magirus will provide leasing services to its resellers through EMC Global Financial Services. While EMC is the first vendor to sign up to the new 'Magirus Credit Solutions', Magirus aims to expand the portfolio to include other vendors and solutions.

One of the leasing options is a 0% finance rental programme of specific EMC networked storage systems. The finance package is aimed at helping ease the restricted credit markets that are making it more difficult for customers to access capital to make IT equipment acquisitions.
