The companies say integrating Apprion's industrial-focused wireless appliances and applications with Motorola's line of indoor and outdoor wireless solutions will allow industrial enterprises to leverage best-of-class wireless networks.

Frost & Sullivan study probes security

During these difficult economic times, the manufacturing and warehousing industry is facing increasing business risks, especially in terms of costs, equipment and personnel, writes PR Newswire.

In addition to maintaining employee safety and security, employers are now concerned with protecting expensive inventory as well as equipment from misuse and theft.

Frost & Sullivan recently partnered with Protection One, a provider of monitored security services, to look at the physical security needs in the manufacturing and warehousing industry. The study focused on ways the industry can look to basic physical solutions to help ensure employee safety and security, protect expensive inventory and equipment from misuse, prevent theft and environmental dangers, as well as serve as another layer of quality control.
