Zeus plans payroll system
Zeus Technology is planning HR payroll and financial reporting systems in the near future, according to Business Weekly.
This is after its ZXTM Virtual Appliance was named the networking product of the year at an awards ceremony.
The product was picked by a panel of 22 judges at the CNet Network UK annual Business Technology awards.
SaaS.com acquires payroll partner
SaaS.com, a provider of software as a service (SaaS), has announced its new partner, Balance Point, a payroll service bureau, reports eBiz.
Several factors contributed to the decision, including the impact SaaS.com has made on the industry.
"It`s a common misconception that most of the work is done before a sale is made," said Alexandra Quintero, business development manager for SaaS.com. "We`ve found that through unwavering commitment to resolving our partners` support issues in an effective and timely manner, we`ve been able to keep existing partners satisfied and productive, and gain referrals into new partnerships as well."
Attendance doubles at HR conference
About 2 200 attendees and more than 225 exhibiting companies registered for the three-day HR Technology Conference this month, which has seen attendance double in the last three years, according to HR Online.
All too often, said Nickolas Nyhus, VP of workforce planning and HR compliance for Ameriprise Financial, HR is "not clear on what we want". They buy a system and end up not using "even half of it," he said.
HR should also remember that most users of talent-management systems do not use those applications daily. Thus, it is important that the application be intuitive.
