BetterLife, a sister company to BetterBond, South Africa's largest mortgage originator, has completed the first phase of the roll-out of the Exergy software from JSE ALTX-listed SilverBridge. BetterLife distributes long-term insurance products ranging from credit life on mortgages to the newly developed BetterLife Protector.
With the emphasis on innovation, BetterLife aims to add real value to customers with a range of unique and industry-first benefits and products. In need of actuarial services and a policy administration solution, BetterLife approached SilverBridge solution partner SolveCo. After understanding the BetterLife operational requirement of speed to market and intended product features, SolveCo recommended Exergy, an events-driven, rules-based administration solution developed for life insurers that is built on an integrated, unified framework.
As an Exergy accredited partner, SolveCo managed the implementation and finalised the solution in less than two months. "We needed a scalable and configurable solution to manage our systems and Exergy fit the bill perfectly, not to mention that SolveCo's expedient implementation exceeded our expectations. Exergy not only boosts our administrative productivity by streamlining our processes, it also allows us to run multiple insurance products, distributed through many sales channels, on a single platform," says Christo Krouwkamp, General Manager - Life, of BetterLife.
"Exergy has only been live for a few days and already BetterLife is starting to see the benefits," says SolveCo director Jacques Theron. "In fact, BetterLife is planning to roll-out additional products early next year.
