MobilTel selects Teradata

Bulgarian wireless operator Mobiltel has selected the US-based Teradata to implement a business intelligence system, says Sophia Echo.

MobilTel was the first mobile operator in Bulgaria to introduce the Teradata system, said Hermann Wimmer, Teradata president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

MobilTel had an estimated marked share of 50.3% at the end of 2007.

Telecom strikes supply deal

Telecom has struck a deal with Brightstar to deliver mobile devices, supply chain services and improved BI, says One News.

The announcement comes ahead of the launch of Telecom's new mobile network in November.

Brightstar will now be Telecom's partner of choice for supply chain services and the new relationship will be phased in over the next six months.

BravePoint releases new version

BravePoint has expanded functionality for its popular BI solution, says Earth Times.

"Version 2 of our BI solution," remarked John Harlow, BravePoint president, "will provide improved scalability, an integrated framework, and a superior interface to an already feature-rich application."

"The primary goal of a BI solution is to provide business information in a consistent, seamlessly integrated format," noted Michael Marriage, product manager.
