Hospitality Technology International (HTI), the hospitality-focused IT company in the M-R Systems group of companies, has announced what it believes to be the first local timeshare software solution that integrates into the hospitality industry`s property management system.
HTI says 15 months and R500 000 in research and development costs were invested in the new software, "Jade for Timeshare". The software is fully integrated with the company`s Windows-based Jade PMS.
"For the last 20 years people have been trying to find a functional timeshare product," says James Montgomery, MD of HTI. "When developing our solution our developers worked very closely with leading timeshare experts to ensure that the solution meets all the necessary requirement of the industry - which is fraught with many variations."
He says Jade for Timeshare handles "all the aspects required to manage timeshare units". This includes owner accounting, unit sales and levies with pooling, space banking and reservations.
The software also manages all the different time slots of each hotel or resort and manages all the diaries, giving the user a single, one-screen view of all the information required.
