An organisation's ability to have clear and current view of business performance has become essential. At the same time, the data supporting these performance measurements is changing rapidly, in terms of volume, variety and velocity.

So says Eugene Wessels, general manager: data analytics at King Price Insurance, who will be presenting on 'Using mobile analytics to drive organisational culture' at the ITWeb Business Intelligence Summit 2017, to be held on 14 and 15 March at The Forum in Bryanston.

"Consequently, executives are increasingly presented with more complex decisions to be made more frequently. Their consumption of data and information has broken through traditional boundaries, warranting the ever-availability thereof at any location.

Wessels says businesses are forced to accept this new status quo and to embrace a data-driven focus as part of their organisational culture.

Speaking of how this will benefit the business, he says an organisational culture driven through mobile analytics not only creates transparency around business performance, but also promotes accountability and healthy competitiveness.

"Ultimately, this not only creates a responsiveness towards business challenges, but also promotes innovation and collaboration in addressing these challenges," Wessels explains.

Delegates who attend Wessels' talk will get an overview of how mobile analytics can be used to improve business performance.

"Example designs and implementations are presented, together with the journey milestones. The presentation concludes typical King Price style, where practical and somewhat humorous examples are presented," he concludes.
