Oracle is to expand its offering to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) by complementing Oracle E‑Business Suite Special Edition with JD Edwards products acquired in the takeover of PeopleSoft this year.

"E-Business Suite Special Edition has been a particular success with smaller SMEs, and now we can offer JD Edwards products to further enhance choice for companies in the manufacturing, distribution and asset-intensive sectors," says Tino Scholman, SME applications VP, Oracle EMEA.

Oracle will sell JD Edwards alongside the Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition, which is a pre-configured, pre-installed package of enterprise resource planning software applications for SMEs with 10 to 500 employees.

Oracle E-Business Suite Special Edition is a fixed-scope, fixed-time and fixed-price package with the ability to scale up to the full E-Business Suite.

The E-Business Suite Special Edition will continue to be sold exclusively through Oracle`s partner network, while JD Edwards products will be sold through the established JDE network of partners.
