Telelogic positioned in 'leaders` quadrant`

Telelogic, a provider of software solutions that align advanced systems and software development with business objectives, has been positioned in the "leaders` quadrant" in Gartner`s "Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Architecture Tools, 1Q06", according to a company statement.

According to Gartner, leaders are vendors who have a broad range of capabilities to support enterprise architecture combined with the ability to deliver this to a diverse group of stakeholders and support implementations that range from a single desktop to a managed, integrated architecture effort addressing the needs of a spectrum of users across the enterprise.

"We are honoured that Gartner has recognised Telelogic in the Magic Quadrant report. We believe that Telelogic SystemArchitect`s sophisticated visualisation, analysis and reporting features, when combined with our extensive sales, service and support capabilities, deliver the best enterprise architecture solution to the market today," said Ingemar Ljungdahl, CTO at Telelogic.

Building blocks of SOA governance

SOA initiatives have gathered momentum in the past year with more enterprises either implementing SOA or considering implementing in the near future.

Open source magazine says the implementations it recently studied reveal that one of the critical challenges in SOA is designing an effective governance mechanism.

A good understanding of governance concepts is essential to implementing and operating a successful SOA. Reliable governance for SOA leads to a manifold increase in an enterprise`s ability to achieve the goal of business agility through SOA.
