EOH Cloudera Services has been appointed as South Africa's first Silver Systems Integration Partner in the Cloudera Connect partner programme.

As a Cloudera systems integrator partner, EOH Cloudera Services can deliver a complete Apache Hadoop solution, ranging from architectural design to data integration, analytics development, implementation and support.

EOH Cloudera Services says it combines expertise and experience in building search-enabled big data applications with Cloudera's open source Hadoop distribution (CDH) to deliver enterprise-class business intelligence platforms for a variety of use cases including log analytics, e-commerce, and recruiting search and match.

"It is a huge compliment to be recognised as Cloudera's preferred partner for big data projects, we are pleased to have met the requirements to become a Silver Systems Integrator partner in the Cloudera Connect partner programme, says Louis de Gouveia, EOH Cloudera Services competency manager.

"We have a very good relationship with Cloudera and we will continue to build on this partnership that offers our clients a combination of technology and expert services to solve complex big data problems. Our experienced Cloudera experts to help customers build real-world Hadoop solutions with the industry's only proactive and predictive support programme."

EOH says it also offers expert Apache Hadoop training through Cloudera University by enabling organisations to upskill and tackle the market with confidence.

De Gouveia says enterprise information management is facing a major evolution in the form of big data and businesses need to come to terms with how to manage the increasing variety, volume and velocity of information.

"We will help empower business users and analysts to easily visualise, analyse and report on data in Cloudera Enterprise to expose the true insights in our customers' data.

"This ability to analyse data intelligently and effectively results in increased overall business value, with higher growth, productivity and profitability."

The ability to extract insights from large amounts of data requires a specialised skillset that uses statistical and mathematical methods to extract hidden insights from data that would usually go unnoticed, says EOH.

"In order to obtain value from data in Cloudera Enterprise, it is critical to establish the system architecture to support businesses' big data requirements. EOH can assist in laying the foundation of organisations solutions by offering various infrastructure services."
