South African hosting services provider Hetzner has rebranded to Xneelo.

The company this morning said: “Today, we announced in an e-mail to our customers that Hetzner SA has a new name. We’re excited to share this new name and logo, as well as the reasons behind the change.

“We are going global. We already have an office in Canada and intend to launch into new markets. Our international expansion means we need to change our name to avoid brand confusion with Hetzner Online, a separate company to Hetzner SA.”

The company notes that all the parts that have made Hetzner what it is won’t change.

“Our company values, our founder and CEO, and our experienced leadership team who have been with us for many years remain the same. They are now Xneelo’s values and leadership team. Our operational strategy remains unchanged.

“We chose the name Xneelo (pronounced ex-nee-lo) with care: inspired by a Latin phrase that translates into the ability to ‘create something out of nothing’. We believe that our new name speaks to the resourcefulness, ingenuity and industrious spirit of our customers – and of our own team.”

With this name change, the company says it is creating space for its team to grow into new territories and connect with even more businesses around the world.

“As a company, we are committed to putting our customers first,” says Athena Turner, Xneelo’s brand manager, who has been with the company for 15 years. “We truly believe that by expanding internationally, we can take our customers along on this exciting growth journey, supporting them as they grow their businesses.

“Xneelo is the same team our customers have trusted for 20 years,” Turner concludes. “We’re just spreading our wings and going global.”
