JMR Software Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that Dane Richards has recently been appointed CEO of the company. As an experienced member of the board, holding the position of CTO for the past two years, Dane Richards will now succeed Mike Richards, who is stepping back but will remain an integral part of the company.
Dane Richards says: “I would like to thank Mike for everything he has done to build a company with solid foundations, strong solutions and a great cultural dynamic. We have a great team at JMR Software, and I am proud to be able to work with so many smart and dedicated experts in our industry. I started out in the company as a junior developer and have taken on different roles over the years, which has helped me gain a hands-on, in-depth knowledge on how the business operates and why it is so successful.”
Mike Richards, Founder of JMR Software, says: “The past 30 years have gone quickly, and in many ways, it’s been quite a journey. Across this time, it has been great to develop relationships with our people and clients in South Africa, as well as internationally, many of whom have become friends. I am very proud of the family culture we have developed as a company that gives a real sense of belonging and all the fun we have had along the way. I may no longer be in the driving seat, but I do remain on the journey and very much part of the family.”
For almost two decades, Dane Richards has been an instrumental part in developing JMR Software solutions, including the BITSHIFT comprehensive data migration solution that has been deployed worldwide. Dane shares the same outlook as Mike but will bring a fresh direction in terms of innovation to support new and existing customers alike. He will also continue to drive growth in key markets with new solutions as the company accelerates into the digital age.
