Datatec CEO Jens Montanana says the group's financial services division will be led by Christian Roelofs and Kevin Quarantello.

Multinational ICT group Datatec has boosted its financial services division by appointing a new managing director and president to run the business.

Christian Roelofs will lead Datatec Finance as MD, while Kevin Quarantello takes on the role of president at Datatec Financial Services (DFS).

DFS is the group's newly established division focused on providing Westcon and Logicalis customers with financing solutions for ICT capital expenditure.

According to a statement, Roelofs has over 13 years' experience within the financial services industry and has worked with businesses financing a wide range of assets across the world, with the majority in the US, Europe and the UK.

As MD, Roelofs will lead the overall DFS business and be responsible for the group's treasury function, the statement notes.

Quarantello, who joined Datatec in March 2014, will focus on the commercial activities of the division, which include sales, marketing and business development.

The statement says Quarantello has extensive sales and strategy experience, and most recently had sales responsibility for distributors, service providers and system integrators for IBM across North America.

Commenting on the appointments, Datatec CEO Jens Montanana said: "We are very pleased with the appointments of Christian and Kevin. Christian's product knowledge and considerable experience in the financial services industry, combined with Kevin's extensive sales, business development and channel partner experience will enable us to capitalise on opportunities to provide our customer base with innovative financing solutions for their ICT infrastructure requirements."
