Willy Govender, CEO of Bizworks, Data World and Data Matrix, has been named the CSSA KwaZulu-Natal IT Person of the Year.
Govender was named the winner at an event last week, and will be included in the nominees for the National IT Person of the Year event later this year.
Among his achievements are playing a key role in establishing an outsourced call centre operation, called Bizworks, in KwaZulu-Natal. Govender believes business process outsourcing, especially call centre operations, represents a major opportunity for the city of Durban and KwaZulu-Natal.
The establishment of Bizworks is intended to make world-class call centre facilities available to boost the region`s efforts to make itself a viable outsourced call centre destination.
