As one of the first cloud providers in South Africa to offer a virtual data centre (vDC), Cloud On Demand is now expanding the offering for its partners,
Previously, a single vDC was available from as early as January this year. The offering will now, however, be expanded to include three different vDC solutions to cater for different customer and reseller needs.
"At the core of cloud solutions is flexibility. We don't want to only provide flexibility around usage, but we want to be able to truly deliver a cost-effective hybrid cloud enablement solution for our partners. This thinking has been core to the new offering," says Brendan Haskins - Sales Director.
The offering will now be split into Silver, Gold and Platinum virtual data centres. This allows for price, compute, storage, networking and security flexibility for resellers to decide what kind of offering is best for their customers and doesn't force them to conform with a single vDC solution.
"We firmly believe that not all clouds are the same and that the market is now moving beyond the older mentality of cloud servers as single-point solutions. Technology professionals want to be able to fully control their cloud environments and tailor it to their needs," says Kathryn Blom - Channel Manager.
