Tap In Systems, a systems management services provider for cloud-based applications, now supports Amazon's CloudWatch monitoring APIs as part of its cloud management service (CMS).
The company says users will be able to easily create alerts and write reports, showing metric values from the CloudWatch API.
Peter Loh, founder and CEO of Tap In Systems, says: "With the integration of our cloud management service, users of the Amazon cloud resource will be provided alerting, notification and reports functionality which has not been available with CloudWatch.
“Users will immediately benefit from CloudWatch, with our CMS, without spending the programming resources to build this capability themselves."
According to Tap In Systems, users can now create long-term trend reports spanning weeks, months or years; do active scanning of user-defined ports; have simple start-up and configuration functionality; and conduct enhanced monitoring beyond the metrics available with CloudWatch - all in real-time.
The solution will be generally available in the third quarter of 2009, the company says, adding that a beta is available for testing by Amazon Web services customers.
