HP Enterprise Services has introduced a suite of analytics services, HP Actionable Analytics Services, which it says will enable enterprises to derive value and insights from big data.
Kathy Garcia, senior VP of Applications and Business Services, HP Enterprise Services, says the tidal wave of big data has left companies sitting on gold mines of information that few of them are using to support their business goals.
"Many businesses lack the tools and expertise needed to identify the hidden value within their big data. With HP Actionable Analytics Services, organisations can target the key business functions of inventory, procurement, field force and sales offers with the necessary insights, in real time, to drive profitability both today and in the future."
The services, an expansion of HP's Information Management and Analytic Services, allow customers to implement analytics and streamline business processes such as customer offers, procurement, and supply chain and inventory operations.
The services aim to help clients target customers with the right offers at the right time to improve customer loyalty and increase revenue with insight into buying trends gained with segmenting and repeat purchase modelling.
Actionable Analytics also aims to improve operational efficiency in field sales and service organisations by identifying challenges in field operations and developing systematic, evidence-based management solutions that pinpoint ways to increase efficiency and optimise coverage as well as target setting.
Pricing and delivery forecasting will also be enhanced through predictive algorithms that analyse a product portfolio and supply chain, including demand, forecast performance and materials requirements planning.
