Pilot Software Holdings has launched joint venture offices in both Polokwane, Limpopo, as well as George in the Garden Route. Both transactions are effective 1 February 2014.
The joint ventures come as Pilot aggressively expands its regional footprint, in response to increased customer demand for localised sales and support infrastructure. Hundreds of Limpopo and Garden Route sites already use Pilot's industry leading point of sale software and modules.
Says Glenn Miller, Pilot Software MD: "These joint ventures tie in with our strategy of being more directly involved in each region of South Africa. Local expertise and experience allow regions to develop substantially. With operational staff and infrastructure, and increased sales and marketing efforts, we expect to be the dominant POS player in both regions within 12 months. Additional acquisitions or joint ventures in the Eastern Cape, Northern Cape and Free State will be announced in the near future."
Pilot will also focus on converting legacy sites in both regions over to their new SQL3 platform, with optional mobile ordering devices and cloud-based analytics.
Introductory roadshows will be held in the regions during March and April.
