M-Five , a supplier of integrated business solutions, has acquired a 50% stake in DSA Vision South Africa, a subsidiary of Navision reseller DSA Vision Holland.

M-Five Software says the acquisition is part of its to become a major player in the African enterprise resource planning market.

M-Five Software MD Keith Mullan says the acquisition gives M-Five Software the sole distribution rights to a Navision property management solution throughout Africa.

"DSA Vision has developed a Navision-based Global Property Management System which is ideally suited for the African market. Now that Windows-based programs are common, SA is able to take advantage of internationally proven systems. That means we will be able to do local implementations of Europe`s premier real estate program, Global Property Management System."

Rob Hooghiemstra, founder and MD of DSA.Vision, says his strategy was to look at global opportunities. "We have identified three markets for our NavisionDamgaard-based products, namely SA, Australia and the UK. We see our new South African subsidiary playing a significant role in our efforts to globalise our suite of products."
