Farmovs, an independent contract research centre at the University of the Orange Free State, is undertaking a major upgrade of its laboratory information management systems and has bought an HP 9000 D220 from Computer Configurations to run the new systems.

JSE-listed Elexir Technology Holdings says that subsidiary Elexir Computer Services has been awarded a contract to upgrade Computicket`s dial-up system to an ISDN infrastructure at its 80 to 85 national outlets.
